(Price) Formulas
The Selling Price Formula helps calculate the total cost of all units bought by dividing the total cost by the number of units. Using this formula, users can establish how the final price has been calculated. For instance, the Selling Price could be defined as the Cost Price plus the Profit Margin, where:
Selling Price = Cost Price + Profit Margin |
● Cost Price: refers to the price a retailer paid for the product. |
● Profit Margin: A percentage of the cost price. |
Creating a new Formula
- Click on the '+ Create New' button to be redirected to the 'New Price Formula' page.
- Fill in each section as per the guidance in the following sections.
- Once all details have been entered, click on the 'Save' button.
All Price Formulas created will be listed on the 'Price Formula' main page.
Price Formula Basics
In this section, users need to:
● Enter the name of the price.
● Set the 'Is Active?' toggle to ON.
● Pick one of the options: 'Product' or 'Package'.
Price Formula Steps
This section allows users to define the expression of the formula. Follow these steps:
- Double-click or drag and drop any of the available variables into the dedicated area.
- Select a field in the form and press the equal sign (=) on your keyboard to start creating a formula.
- You can either hit '@' to show a menu listing all variables already configured with a formula, or manually type the formula in the fields.
- Click on the 'Stop Editing' button each time a line is completed to start editing the next one.
- Once the Full Retail Price formula is ready, click on the 'Save' button.
(Price) Variables
Users can create variables to be configured inside each 'Price Formulas Setting' page.
Creating a new Variable
- Click on the '+ Create New' button to be redirected to the 'New Price Variables' page.
- Fill in the two fields and click on the 'Save' button.
All created Price Variables will be listed on the 'Price Variables' main page.
Editing an existing Variable
- Click on the 'Edit' button to be redirected to the 'Price Variable' page.
- Make the necessary updates and click on the 'Save' button.
Deleting an existing Variable’
- Click on the 'Delete' button to remove an existing variable.
